Publisher's summary
When Ethan Williams lands a job at Bingwell, Brock, and Bacon, he realizes his coworkers aren't exaggerating about James Trenchard. He really is a dick. But after Ethan is forced to work closely with James, he realizes there's more to the lawyer than meets the eye.
Vibrant Ethan is a desperate reason to live again as James endures silent guilt and abuse from his husband after an accident. He calls Ethan for help after a beating, and stolen moments soon become the norm, but they can't hide forever.
Ethan's coworkers think he got his promotion because James is sweet on him, James is still being beaten despite his family's concern, and the situation is swiftly becoming intolerable. Ethan and James need to find a way out of the cycle that's hurting them both before their brand-new love suffers as well.

Story
Handsome and mysterious, he swoops in to offer me a new life, but this is no knight in shining armor. He’s cold, hardened by his past. But there’s an inferno underneath the ice. I can feel the heat each time he looks at me - each time he gives in to the desire between us. No matter how much I push to unleash the fire in his eyes, he shoves back harder each time. He’s merciless with his cruel words, telling me how naive I am, how little I know of the world.

Tia Monroe was smart, sassy, and successful. Sure, she could get a little crazy at times - life around Tia was never boring - but that was part of her appeal. And while she didn't see herself as classically beautiful, she had no shortage of options in the boyfriend department. She just hadn't found one who held her interest. Until she laid eyes on Eric Larsson, and then it was lust at first sight. He packed the perfect mix of smoldering sexy and unapologetic cool into his blond-haired, blue-eyed, ridiculously hot six-foot-four frame.

Loved story…. Hated the narration
I wished I read the reviews on the narration before I bought it. I really loved the story but the narrator for this particular book did not fit in my opinion, sounded too old, try someone else please because this one was a challenge to get through.

Great story
Would you consider the audio edition of Final Admission to be better than the print version?
yes, it was
Who was your favorite character and why?
Ethan, because he was totally supportive of James
What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?
I like how we can recognise the different characthers. I not so "dislike", more had difficulties with his accent.
If you could rename Final Admission, what would you call it?
Courage to change
Any additional comments?
Ethan was speechless when he met the infamous JAMES TRENCHARD!
He couldn't believe in that man's nerve!
when they start knowing each other, he realized, there was so much more to James, than he though at first
It got me how James refused to get himself out of the hell he was living in... he had his reasons, but still...
Ethan was a rock James could finaly count to support him and give him strengh to finally get back living again?

Good story
It is a good story and I enjoyed all of the characters but I did have some personal issues regarding relationship statuses.
The narrator also chose voices for characters that initially threw me completely off. Ethan, who is younger but larger and more dominant had the lighter, almost softer voice while James' was deeper. It wasn't a bad choice, I just had to get over the stereotype in my head that the dominate character would be deeper and more confident.

A steamy enemies to lovers!
This was a sweet enemies to lovers, opposites attract romance.
Ethan and James get off on the wrong foot from the very start.
It was interesting seeing them clash and then grow closer.
The characters were likeable and well fleshed out and the writing style was engaging.
Max Lehnen's narration was pretty decent and easy to follow.

Pretty good story, dreadful narration
Oh, what this audiobook could have been in the hands of a Gomez Pugh or a Greg Tremblay! But this narrator has completely ruined the listening experience for me. He has a highish tenor voice, which is itself not a dealbreaker, but this is a book with pretty heavy subject matter, and he reads the whole thing with such exaggerated inflections that it sounds like he's reading a children's story.
Consequently, the story itself, which is not bad at all, and, as I said, is pretty serious going, is completely trivialized. The vocal characterizations, particularly of the one prominent female character, are so cartoony, they make the whole thing feel comical, which is definitely NOT the tone of this story. It could have been a really above average listening experience with a different narrator.
As it is, I got about 25% into the audio, enough to know I want to continue with the book, but CANNOT GO ANY FURTHER with this awful narrator. I will make a point to avoid this voice in the future.
Book: 4.5 stars. Good, thought provoking story. Read it; don't listen to it.

Great book
FiveStars
This was a very hard book to listen to for me. There were many times it made my stomach hurt and I wanted to yell and scream because of the abusive relationship one of the men has to endure.
I really connected with both the characters and their reasons behind their actions.
I want to say so much, but don't want to give much away about what happens or where the book goes, just know that I enjoyed it (and hated it at times).
It's a great book that made me sick at times.. I know so contradictory, but it's exactly how I feel.

Ok story, horrible narration
Would you try another book from Sue Brown and/or Max Lehnen?
Sue brown, yes. Narrator NO
Would you be willing to try another book from Sue Brown? Why or why not?
Yes the story wasnt bad
How did the narrator detract from the book?
He made me wish i read the book instead - the way he sounds continuously surprised and ending all sentenses with questionmarks makes an otherwise good story almost unbearable to listen to.
What character would you cut from Final Admission?
None i think
Any additional comments?
No
