Publisher's summary

Exposing evangelical Christianity's darker side like nothing ever has, Feet of Clay is an accurate portrayal of what life is often like working for large Christian ministries in America. Sounding more like a memoir than a novel, Feet of Clay is authentic, believable, and interesting; captivating the listener from the first minute. It's difficult to put down. It will motivate many to insist on greater integrity and adherence to Christian values by faith-based organizations.

Update January 2020: Amazing Story

When I finished reading FEET OF CLAY by Jack Watts a year ago, I gave it a great review. It was enlightening, entertaining, and I laughed out loud more than once. I put it on the shelf with all of his other great books and hoped he’d have a new release soon.

Well, I had to make a quick five hour drive due to a family medical situation so was looking for an audio book to keep me company. I purchased FEET OF CLAY from Audible. Instead of being redundant, this time it was like visiting with an old friend that shared his feelings when between a rock and a hard space (like I was feeling on that drive).

Being an analytical person, if you ask me how I feel, I’ll tell you what I think. I was blessed with Jack’s help to identify those feelings throughout the book and during the drive, worked through many of them.

FEET OF CLAY should be also be in the Christian Living category because instead of being weighed down with worry as I left the driveway, by the time I got home, I was reassured that God cares more for my son than I do. God has a plan and my responsibility is to determine His plan through prayer, do the next right thing, and leave it in his hands.

I just cannot say enough about how much of a blessing this book is and I’ll put it on my calendar to re-read at least once a year.

Buy it or better yet, buy two. Don’t loan yours out—you need it handy.

January 2019:
I so enjoyed this book and I'm still smiling 24 hours after I've completed it. It's an awesome story of restoration and how God's plan has us exactly where we need to be right when we need to be there. Lots of humor, some tears, righteous anger, and just a memorable plot that can change your relationship with God, your family, friends, and even belligerent bosses. Buy it, read it. You'll be so grateful you did.

WONDERFUL WRITING AND STORY!!! Mr. Watts. I had great peace, while reading your book and I enjoyed it, thoroughly. You don’t get to write reviews like this too often. A Satisfied Reader
P.S. I, greatly, enjoyed the narration.
It made me feel I knew Cole, personally.

Very helpful, and although fiction, sadly true

This book was very helpful to me in describing what can happen behind the scenes when you are trying to serve the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I gave 18 years of my life and what happened still has my head spinning. It is hard to find a counselor to help sort things out. This book is a great encouragement.

Fun and motivating

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this narrator create visual pictures of each character from the shady to the redeemed. I never had to push replay to understand the words. His intonation captured the authors spirit, pain and recovery. I found myself frowning at the corrupt and smiling with the characters joy.
