Worth a Listen!

It really makes you think about how much importance is put on ‘how young we look’. Society wants youth, but what about a life well lived? Wisdom and knowledge? Thanks Justine for enlightening me! I am proud of my age, and now I will be proud of my face!

A sigh of relief and gratitude

This book was really good! I love that it gave me the permission to be my unaltered self. I love the fact that the author embraces her aging, and looks at it in a positive light! I am very good read for any young woman or older woman, who thinks that they need to change themselves to meet society’s demands.

I own a med spa

I felt like this was an absolutely necessary book to read for someone in my industry. Beautiful work, Justine. Although I encourage women to change things about themselves that they are not happy with, I also encourage women that changing how they feel is a solution too. I love the services we offer, and when accessed from a healthy mindset I know they change lives for the better, but that’s because the world we live in doesn’t allow us to live fully otherwise. I loved her comparison to aesthetics being similar to other cultures forms of beauty mutilation (long neck ladies of Thailand, foot binding in China). This was a thought provoking book that helps guide our culture a step in the right direction, which is valuing people at all stages of their life. Basing someone’s worth on their age is not necessary anymore because resources are abundant and people’s mind are more valuable now than ever. It was an easy listen. Engaging. Witty. Thank you!

I'm So Glad I Listened!

Listening to Justine Bateman narrate this book is a powerful experience. Her talent as an actress elevates FACE in an irresistible way. I hadn't intended to race through the book but I kept deciding to listen to "just one more chapter".

The stories in this book couldn't be more relevant. As a 55 year old woman, I see the need to talk about these issues and take a stand. I applaud Justine Bateman for her work here!

A refreshingly honest view of 21st century misogyny

A brilliant and brave look at the experience of growing older as a woman in our youth-obsessed society. The observations are painfully accurate and too often the stories that get swept under the rug. It’s a wake-up call about how ageism prevails and shames women for growing older regardless of what she’s achieved in her life. Misogyny and ageism are the last accepted forms of discrimination. This book asks all the revenant questions and it should be required reading for our times.
