Lol I can’t believe someone made this!

I have never laughed so much at an audiobook in all my life. I have no problem with the story line or the narrators per say. But I’ll tell you listening to people kiss and have sex is not sexy at all! And the music?! What were they thinking? Ugh it was really bad but might be worth a free listen if you want a good laugh.

this is the worst audible I have ever heard

Dear Audible,
Don't you think you ought to label a "book" like The Guardian as porn or porn light. You can't imagine my surprise as I was driving down Los Angeles' 405 freeway and this book took a turn from what your publisher's blurb described as a young girl's parents' die and she is left to start a new life with a guardian. ....not a word about the hugely sexual content of this
"bodess ripper". The writing, the performances and the lack of plot add up to the worst audible book I've ever heard. I feel sorry for these actors having to grunt, groan and simulate sex sounds in a studio with technicians all around. Believe me, I'm not a prude in any way but, come on...don't you think the description should warn listeners about content that is so corny and horny.

So bad but not a total loss

This was so bad but I read the others reviews so I listened with the knowledge that this wasn’t gonna be life changing. The moans and the background music my god it was just awful but I had a smile on my face the whole time because it was so funny and awkward to listen to. It was short enough that the waste of time didn’t upset me in fact I had just finished balling my eyes out listening to this other story so it lightened up my mood with how hilariously bad it was. So there’s that

Cheesy... but surprisingly kept my interest

If you are familiar with Romantic Erotica, you will be overly prepared for the cheesy plot line of this predictable love story. But compared to most of the trashy and poorly written erotica written out there, I give Ms Raine a thumbs up for hitting this genre on the head and delivering the story with entertaining allure.

The dramatic narration and music helped to pulled me through to the end, laughing out loud at times over the stereotypical erotic descriptions, but was surprisingly enticed to listen in one sitting. Perhaps it was Edwards’s sexy voice that did it for me, and the Chopin pieces. I’ve got a thing for British accents.

Trigger warning: But I have to say, the barely 18 year old virgin having an affair with a significantly older man who is supposed to be her caretaker is an overplayed trope that is quite tasteless in a #metoo and #pedophile ridden world. 🤮 If Jessica was 25 I’d be a bit more excited about this romance.

Storyline OK, music and sound effects terrible

Smacking kissing noises were ridiculous and music reminded me of old silent movies (Keystone Cops). Terrible. The Male narrator was rather sexy, however, the female sounded like a 14 year old girl, not a nearly 19 year old young woman. Which was really strange and off-putting.

The Reviews are right- Best comedy of the week

Horrible story. Loved the English accent though. Still laughing at the absurdity of it. Keep trying.

❣❣❣❣

this was a very sweet story....there could have been some more content with them getting to know each other better but it was still worth a listen. I really enjoyed the audio effects and the way this was performed!!

I won't get that hour back...

I could ignore the very unrealistic start.
I am ok with the voyeur POV.
I could look past the heavy focus on the extremely young age gap. Or the stereotypical young sexually naive girl is saved by the older sexually mature man and instantly falls in love.
I could even overlook the plot holes (and there were many).
I could even get over the long pauses or breaks and ill-placed silence.
But what I couldn’t deal with was the stupid piano music every few sentences. I assume it was to add dramatic tension to this lackluster story but it absolutely did not! It was the old black and white original Micky cartoon piano music, or the Three Stooges silent film piano music, and my word was it annoying and out of place. Adding the cartoon music with the extreme May/December romance just felt very yucky!
I feel bad for the narrators. Maybe they are decent and it was just the story they had. They certainly didn't harm the story!

I did not finish the Book

I couldn’t tolerate the piano in the back ground. It sounded like a child’s voice. I couldn’t stop thinking about pedophiles!
