Publisher's summary
I'm writing these books because I'm tired of watching my friends die. Everything that we have done in America to deal with the opioid epidemic has made us drastically worse, and people don't seem to realize it.
Irresponsible, profit-mongering pharmaceutical companies created millions of addicts like me. By becoming acquainted with the power and peace that a pocketful of oxy can bring an anxious teenager, readers will begin to understand exactly how so many of us got hooked on oxy, and how oxy serves as a gateway to criminal behavior and other drugs.
Readers will also come to understand why the criminal justice system makes so many of us even worse, as you join me in flashbacks to my arrest-laden adolescence. You'll also join me in Phoenix, AZ in 2018, as I run my 'fentoxy' business and deal with the IV drug addictions that replaced the Adderall and oxy of my youth. This will give you an intimate look at the opioid monstrosity in its' current form, as oxy has been replaced by fentanyl and crooked doctors have been replaced by a new generation of highly intelligent, internet-saavy, rehab-addicted, drug-dealing kids that just can't get straight - no matter how hard we pray.
I'm desperate to help people understand why the opioid epidemic is only getting worse. Most people have outdated and stereotypical ideas when it comes to the experiences of addiction and recovery. It's time that people find out the truth. I might have survived the criminal justice system and the revolving-door treatment centers that are replacing it, but many did not, and many more will die if nothing changes.
Proceeds from these books will go towards bringing yoga therapy to those suffering from addictive disorders.

Story
In weeks after the September 11 attacks, 18-year-old Mansoor Adayfi was kidnapped by Afghan militia and sold to US forces for bounty money. After months of interrogations, he was sent to the US military prison at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, as one of its first prisoners. Like the nearly 800 other men imprisoned at Guantanamo, Adayfi didn’t know why he was imprisoned or for how long. He had never seen a skyscraper and couldn’t imagine what the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center looked like, much less how they were destroyed.

Wanting to be a dancer while growing up in a large military family made Christine Barker somewhat of a black sheep, but she followed her dreams to New York City, where—in a moment of almost unbelievable good fortune—she was chosen for the London cast of A Chorus Line. London, and then New York, in the '70s and '80s opened up Christine’s world. The creativity, culture, and nightlife were intoxicating, enough so to compel her older brother Laughlin to join her. Once there, the divorced father, veteran, and corporate lawyer met rising fashion star Perry Ellis.

When Michael Lewis first met him, Sam Bankman-Fried was the world’s youngest billionaire and crypto’s Gatsby. CEOs, celebrities, and leaders of small countries all vied for his time and cash after he catapulted, practically overnight, onto the Forbes billionaire list. Who was this rumpled guy in cargo shorts and limp white socks, whose eyes twitched across Zoom meetings as he played video games on the side? In Going Infinite Lewis sets out to answer this question, taking listeners into the mind of Bankman-Fried.

Millions of people–looking to cheat on their partners–signed up for Ashley Madison in the early 2000s, seeking a private space to share their public desires. The promise of discretion was shattered in the summer of 2015, when anonymous hackers stole the company’s cache of user information and published it worldwide. The result? One of the most shocking data breaches of the internet age. Overnight, millions of unfaithful spouses had their real names, addresses and sexual preferences published online in a searchable database that anyone could browse.

For his victims, for their families and for the investigators tasked with finding him, the senselessness and brutality of the Golden State Killer's acts were matched only by the powerlessness they felt at failing to uncover his identity. Then, on April 24, 2018, authorities arrested 72-year-old Joseph James DeAngelo at his home in Citrus Heights, Calif., based on DNA evidence linked to the crimes. Amazingly, it seemed, evil finally had a name. Please note: This work contains descriptions of violent crime and sexual assault and may not be suitable for all listeners.

Story
Best-selling author Bryan Burrough recently made a shocking discovery: The small town of Temple, Texas, where he had grown up, had harbored a dark secret. One of his high school classmates, Danny Corwin, was a vicious serial killer. In this chilling tale, Burrough raises important questions of whether serial killers can be recognized before they kill or rehabilitated after they do. It is also a story of Texas politics and power that led the good citizens of the town of Temple to enable a demon who was their worst nightmare.

Story
It took me a lifetime to have the courage and the clarity to write my memoir. I want to tell the story of the moments - the ups and downs, the triumphs and traumas, the debacles and the dreams - that contributed to the person I am today. This book is composed of my memories, my mishaps, my struggles, my survival, and my songs. Unfiltered. I went deep into my childhood and gave the scared little girl inside of me a big voice. I let the abandoned and ambitious adolescent have her say, and the betrayed and triumphant woman I became tell her side.

GROUNDBREAKING! Two elderly, wealthy spinster sisters in Llano, Texas, die within a day of each other, and it is chalked up to an unfortunate coincidence and old age. After all, they were seventy-five and eighty-three years old, respectively. One month later, an elderly man in San Angelo, Texas, 130 miles from Llano passes away, and it is attributed to old age and poor health. His killer, Julius Williams, was seventeen. It was the second time the teens had encountered one another. The first, five years before, also ended in tragedy, when Julius watched as his brother was stabbed to death by an acquaintance of Sito’s. The two murders merited a few local news stories, and then the rest of the world moved on. But for the families of the slain teenagers, it was impossible to move on.

A new kind of fear swept over Southern California in the summer of 1985, shattering the otherwise idylic lifestyle of the millions who called the sprawling metropolis home. Seemingly without reason, residents began getting attacked in their homes at random by a man entering through unlocked doors and windows at night. Once inside, he enacted a level of violence on his victims only seen in horror movies. The attacks continued throughout the summer, escalating as temperatures swelled. Law-abiding citizens became prisoners in their own homes, locking themselves in despite the oppressive heat ...

From the author of 'Murdaugh, She Wrote' and 'The Night My Husband Killed Me' ... In August of 2018, in a wealthy Denver suburb, a shocked and horrified nation learned that Christopher Lee Watts had murdered his pregnant wife, their two little girls and their unborn son. But shock was soon replaced by puzzlement. Why? And the surprising answer is that a standard Anadarko Petroleum employee policy led, unintentionally of course, to the murders.
