Publisher's summary
Edmund, A Knight of Selby is a historical fantasy set in a medieval-like land known as the kingdom of Penruddock.
Young Edmund sails away from his home in southern Selby, a region of Penruddock, and a marriage his parents have planned with the daughter of their long-time friends who live in northern Selby. Instead, he joins the Palace Guards and embarks on his long-held dream of becoming a knight and a knight commander and fighting for Penruddock.
Twenty years later, he and a force of men-at-arms are sent to a far colony to rescue the widow and children of the colonial governor, who was recently assassinated by a warring tribe, and bring them and other colonists to safety. To Edmund's surprise, the widow will prove to be no stranger. But can she forgive the slight he offered her and her family all those years before?
