Lovely story!

That ending really put the cherry on-top. The story line, the friendship, the unraveling of it all in the end. Loved.

Roller coaster of emotions

Cass does an excellent job of describing the characters, their life experiences and traumas, and the setting in a way that had me fully invested. All the feels for this one. Highly recommend if you enjoy complex characters, slow burn, and angst.

Really great characters and nice slow and deep story development of two people falling in love and friendship.

It was okay

I Much preferred Those Who Wait and When you Least Expect It over this novel.

Great story

Wonderful story all be it frustrating at times. I was truly pulled into the story and fell in love with the characters.

New favorite

This is a new favorite and I can’t stop keep re-listening. I love these characters so much. Especially Ellie and Mia, but also Gianna and Riley. They’re all just so sweet, and seem like really amazing people.

I love the way the story is told in what seems to be Ellie’s voice; even though it’s told in third person, it feels like you’re hearing her thoughts.

And Lori Price really brings the characters to life. I appreciate the emotion she brings to the performance. Lori has really grown on me as I’ve listened to a handful of the books she’s narrated. I know she has a huge fan base, but it did take me some time to adjust to how… enthusiastic(?) (loud?) some of her voices for characters are. I started with “Those Who Wait” and I loved the book, but the narration (also by Lori) grated on me at first. But I think it works to illustrate how the main characters likely perceive the people around them.

Overall, I love this audiobook and I’m really looking forward to the next one with these characters!

Ellie is delightfully awkward and Mia Becomes a mysterious force in her life. Their barriers seem hopelessly too high for Love but slowly the come crumbling down enough to make it possible if not a sure thing. Haley Cass and Lori Prince combine to keep you hanging in painful uncertainty when you want it so much that you throb. Well done.

So good

Haley Cass never misses!! A fantastic rollercoaster of emotions. The characters grow so much because of each other and you can feel and see the deep love they have for each other.

This book kept you waiting all the way to the end! Talk about a slow burn! But I loved it!
