Clearly, a divergent effort by the author but...
It works! The target audience seems to be the pre-teen to early teen age group so bear that in mind but it's a worthy effort that did entertain. I really like the author's development of characters in this series as well as in his other books which are must reads as far as I'm concerned. This is a light, fun, witty, and enjoyable read when you need a break from the serious stuff of life. I do recommend it!
