Publisher's summary
AFTER KATELYN LANDER’S EX-HUSBAND DIES in a tragic car accident that her son witnesses, she quits her high-powered banking career and returns to her hometown of Savannah. Her belief that the Low Country's slower, more peaceful life will be the perfect place for her son to heal is quickly upended when a slew of dead bodies connected to Katelyn’s family wash ashore like decaying fish in a red tide, turning a US Marshal's interest in her family into an obsession.
US Marshal Nathan Parsi is convinced the esteemed Landers family's financial success is derived from laundering money. But when Katelyn Landers' son is kidnapped, and Nathan faces evidence his team has a snitch, he's forced to reassess whether Katelyn is really the cunning and heartless nemesis he's vowed to bring to justice or simply an innocent, unwitting pawn in a high stakes game of life and death.
Some family secrets are worth millions––others are smoke and mirrors. Which is Katelyn’s?
If you enjoyed the page-turning suspense "The Last Thing He Told Me" or Grisham's "The Firm" you'll be on the edge of your seat with this thrilling read.

Story
In The Worst of You, just-wed architects Timo and Nia flee a murder scene, setting in motion a chain reaction of lies and betrayals that threaten to unravel everything they have built together. Twisted and propulsive, this thriller is told from the alternating perspectives of the couple and those close to them on Williwaw Island, each with their own motive to use the outcome of the murder case to their advantage. When a huge storm sweeps up the coast, trapping everyone on tiny Williwaw Island, it’s a race against time—and the elements — to stop the murderer from striking again.

Review of Book One, Dead End: "A Page Turner! A perfect curl-up-with-a-cuppa-something hot-and-read-until-you-get-to-the-last-page mystery. Real, honest and believable characters, good dialogue, with detail enough for great settings. And every good murder mystery needs a Wally!" Dead End: A Kaitlyn Willis Mystery by Leslie J. Hall What if Stephanie Plum worked with the cast of “Parks and Recreation”? Kaitlyn Willis’s job as a Code Enforcement Officer usually involves writing tickets for untrimmed trees and cars parked on the suburban lawns of Cedar Grove, Washington. But when she ...

It was supposed to be easy...it turned out to be murder. In the thrilling start to the Trask Brothers Murder Mystery Series, identical twin brothers Dave and Don hunt a silent killer terrorizing anglers in the great north woods. "Spellbinding! I could not put it down. It will keep you on the edge all the way to the end." When Dave Trask ran for sheriff of wild Lake County, he thought the job would entail locating lost campers and catching poachers, and he didn’t really expect to get elected. He was wrong on both counts. Before he can be sworn in, two guests at a small fishing lodge are ...

Virtual voice
I really do not like virtual voice. While this book was relatively good, the reading ruined it. I will not listen to another book without a human reader. Ruins the experience.
