Molto completo e dettagliato
Barbero dettaglia come si arrivo’ alla sconfitta di Caporetto utilizzando l’alto e il basso, le comunicazioni ufficiali e innumerevoli dettagli di diari e lettere personali, riuscendo a darci uno squarcio completo di una ferita forse mai chiusa. Rispetto ad altri lavori del prof B, questo ha meno dell’ironia distaccata e della leggerezza che lo contraddistingue, forse segno dell’amarezza e dell’attualità di uno spirito nazionale irrisolto fino si giorni attuali. Lettura chiara e distinta, con alcuni nomi friulani distorti. Consigliato.

Ahi! forse a tanto strazio cadde lo spirto anelo!
Noi friulani siamo abituati ad avere la pronuncia dei nostri toponimi storpiata. Non ci si aspetta che un italiano sappia pronunciare correttamente le parole tedesche. Quasi nessuno ha idea della pronuncia dei nomi sloveni. Ma se per 19 ore uno è costretto ad ascoltare un attore professionista prendere fischi per fiaschi quasi ad ogni nome di luogo o di persona, la situazione diventa tragicomica. Non si poteva fare un minimo di ricerca?
