A story out of touch with reality, reader works with what he’s given

This entire story is completely out of touch with the reality at the time it was written and reads like Russian propaganda. Even not knowing what the world knows now about the paper tiger that is the Russian Military and the weak lunatic the leader of Russia really is this story clearly hadn’t done any research before writing this somewhat entertaining but overall poor story.

The author is either completely complicit and on the Kremlin payroll or just a drinker of the koolaid of the Right/Alt-Right Media. The constant use of the term fascist to describe the Ukrainian government as well as the implication that it’s rightfully elected president was connecting to some shadow group of oligarchs is all Russian propaganda talking points. The implication of overwhelming military strategy and technology superiority being in the Russian side instead of NATO especially the US is also a Russian propaganda message. The United States Military is the most technologically advanced in the world the majority of the attacks perpetrated by the Russians would realistically fail catastrophically. The US commander who lacks to recognize what ERA armor is, even in the simplest form, a technology that has been out for decades, is just one example of the lack of realism that makes the story hard to take seriously.

The story is a decent “cosplay”/fictional battle/war story but the lack of character development and weak dialogue really make the story seem shallow and not something to really invest yourself in. The reader did a good job with the material he was provided. His pronunciation and different voices make it easier to listen too.

Overall if you go into this one while keeping in mind that it’s completely out of touch with reality it can be somewhat entertaining if you’re looking for a battle driven story.

This is an unnerving representation of current events. A good read/listen. Thought provoking. I recommend it.

Pleasantly surprising

It took a while to get into this book as it was a bit slow, but as it moved on, he became more and more relevant to a lot of things that are happening today when they finally went in and the president got strong and did some things to be done to our uppity ups in our government it became a fairly good read. It ended abruptly, but overall good book.

Excellent!!!

Very detailed & interesting. It always keeps you engaged in a very real way. Hopefully, reason can prevail, but if not, let there be a just war. Companionship novel on Russian media control/brainwashing machine might be interesting, which, to me, is the biggest problem that this ends up in war. Hooah!

About as frustrating to listen to as the news

This is my first book review and I am mainly submitting it because this was one of the most frustrating book ever making the US and Nato looking utterly incompetent and portraying Russia as the great power and genius. Then it just ended in the middle of the mess with no end.

Decent Story, Politics/Capabilities Almost All Wrong

The idea of expanding the Donbas conflict into WWIII is a very good one that nobody to my knowledge has done yet. HOWEVER, the story sticks to a lot of Russian apologist stories about NATO expansion and threatening Russia, and an overhyping of Russian military and production capabilities. The T-14 is a prime example of this. In real life it hasn’t even seen combat yet, hasn’t been produced outside of MAYBE a dozen tanks, and it’s capabilities represented in the book are far fetched. I could ramble on for an hour about this but this is the short side of it.

Excellent book!, easy to follow and a great story, leaves you in a must read the next one state!! These 2 writers have story telling all figured out, and good choice on the narrator.😁✌️🙏

Very good start to a series

The book started a little slow fof me.. but after the first two chapters it takes off and then it really had me hooked!!
Now I cant wait to get into the rest of the series.....
