Publisher's summary

"Resonance" is supposed to be a dream - that's when your soulmate is chosen for you. And everyone on the ice planet has hooked up with a big, hunky soulmate of their own...except me. So do I want a mate? Heck, yeah. More than anything, all I've ever wanted is to be loved by someone. Except that the soulmate chosen for me?

My least favorite person on the darn ice planet: Haeden's the most cranky, disapproving, unpleasant, overbearing male alien...so why is it that my body sings when he gets close? Why is he working so hard to prove to me that he's not as awful as I think he is? I hate him...don't I?

Contains mature themes.

Excellent

The last adult single lady on the planet finally gets her mate! However, it’s the last alien on the planet she would ever have chosen! This story is written so well. The characters seem to despise each other, however through the unfolding of the story we see this is not true. It takes a great writer to craft a story like this one in a believable way (without getting boring or annoying.) Ruby Dixon never fails to bring an exciting, sizzling hot story to life with the Ice Planet series. A note on the audiobook: excellent doesn’t even do it justice! Holly is fantastic- you can hear every emotion come through loud and clear. Mason brings our hero to life with an amazing accent that never falters! Final note: this book has sizzling hot, graphically delicious alien/human mating scenes that are most definitely for the 18+ crowd.

My absolute favorite!!

This was my favorite of the series. It had the perfect balance of tough and smart but reasonable heroine who actually had pride and stood up for herself but knew when to put others feelings first.

The perfect balance of possessive/alpha male but absolutely adoring at the same time.

It's so hard to get them this right! I'm almost worried the next one will disappoint just because I loved this one so much!

Sooooo good!

This is the sixth book in the series and they just keep getting better. As always there is lots of drama and a hella lot of steam. Soooo good!! I nearly bust a gut every time Hollie Jackson says cootie. I love it!!

Wonderful story! Great ending!

I love Ruby’s series of Ice Planet Barbarians. I have read with Kindle & listened with Audible to all of them. I am amazed at the excellent work Ruby has put into every story she writes! I enjoy every character she creates and weaves her “magic” to make the stories come alive! In Audible, the narrators are true actors playing the parts of the tribe members and rescued Earth women! They make the story so believable! I will continue to read and listen to this series over & over! Thank you Ruby!

Josie is a selfish B!TCH!!!

In the earlier books I like Josie's friendly optimistic personality. In this book she is cruel, whiney and selfish. I understand that she wasn't particularly fond of Haeden, but she knew when she accepted her khui that her mate would be chosen for her. When she finds out it's Haeden she treats him like shit. He does everything he can to make her happy but she twists everything he says or does to make him feel bad. When he says he'll give her time to get used to things before they get physical she screams at him to "not put this on her". And after he tells his story she wants him to go with her to get their khuis replaced. If that is not selfish asshole enough to do to him, it also puts other hunters in danger to have to hunt the enormous creature to get a new one. I could rant on and on about the bitch that is Josie, but I won't. I adore Haeden. Although he's grumpy and a bit withdrawn because of his history, I love the person he is. I wish his POV was the only one in this book. I would still hate Josie, but not having to hear her thoughts would have made this book much more enjoyable. Hollie Jackson and Mason Lloyd did an excellent job! Mason Lloyd is my favorite male narrator. I have never been disappointed in any narration he's done.

That's it, I give up on which one is my favorite.

Haeden and Josie are a hilarious couple. He is clueless when she knows things and vice-versa. I laughed so many times reading this story that I lost count. Josie is a very resilient woman. Kidnapped, abused, ship wrecked, believing she would never find love from anyone, being chosen last by the last person she would have thought about, running away and then being eaten alive. Yet, even after all that, she still finds reasons to go on, to smile and be happy. Haeden gives her that, he gives her hope for the future. Josie returns the favor by giving him another chance at a family and love. One of my favorite parts was when he was carrying her back to the tribal cave like a baby. Plus, the discovery that she and Haeden made was very interesting. I really enjoyed this story and look forward to seeing what comes next. I'm especially curious about the newcomers and who took one of them. I feel another Raahosh/Liz moment coming. Congrats to the author and narrator on another job well done.
