Great until the last 2 hours
Somewhat disappointing for a KL Slater novel, which are usually quite good. Great build up and character development but the ending felt rushed and incoherent. Several unfinished and unexplained threads that seemed sloppy to me. I think the ending I was expecting may have been better than the actual ending…. never a good sign. This is unusual for this author who usually pulls together a tight story.

Mixed bag
The writing itself is great. Quality and engaging. The way the story wraps is a tad weird. Has a very Hollywood less than realistic ending. However, it was decent and kept me listening till the end. I really like the more recent book by this author The Evidence. I’d listen to more from this author.
